EBT/SNAP

EBT/SNAP (Electronic Benefit Transfer/Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program). SNAP is a federal program funded by the USDA to provide crucial food and nutritional support to qualifying low-income and needy households, and those making the transition from welfare to self-sufficiency. How to use your EBT card at the market:
1. Shop at the individual vendor booths and request to pay with EBT.
2. Collect your receipts from each vendor.
3. Visit the market booth in the center to complete your transaction.
4. Once paid, return your “PAID” receipts to the vendors and collect your
produce.



Da Bux Double Up Food Bucks

The DaBux program partners with food retailers to make Hawaii grown fruits and vegetables more affordable for SNAP/EBT cardholders. (https://dabux.org) All SNAP/EBT cardholders are eligible to receive 50% off all produce with no maximum discount limit. This discount will be offered continuously until December 27, 2022. No Da Bux Access card is required. Discount is only valid on Hawaii-grown fruits and vegetables without any added salts, sugars, oils or fats.



Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program

The SMNF program provides special coupons to seniors to trade in for local produce at the Farmers Market.

Requirements:

  1. At least 60 years of age

  2. Reside in the county where food coupons are requested making only one request for 10 SFMNP food coupons for 2022 year

This year’s coupons are cream colored and can be redeemed through October 31st , 2022. Coupons are given to the vendors and are collected for reimbursement biweekly.
